Supported Video Formats

Multi-View Format:
Allows for multiple images representing different perspective views of a scene, and allows for the use of standard compression codecs such as Mpeg2 and DivX.

2D + Depth Map:
Existing 2D images can be manually converted, adding depth information via a depth map. This conversion process, which NewSight offers as a value-added service, is similar to the process of adding color to black and white movies. The NewSight Media Player is able to show images converted by this process in real-time.

Pulfrich Sequences:
Pulfrich sequences are 2D videos filmed with a horizontally panning camera or shot on a turntable. They can be filmed with a conventional video camera and can serve as a live source to be shown in real-time with the NewSight Media Player.

Active X Plug-In (Media Player Professional only)

The ActiveX Plug-in for the NewSight Media Player can be fully integrated into a variety of presentation applications. The Player can be used within PowerPoint or Macromedia and can display images in either a full-screen or windowed mode.
